Are We the “Anchor Leg” in Human History?

A preview of Steve Moore’s plenary session for the 2014 Ignite Convention

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”Matthew 24:14

Dating back to the Apostles, a remnant of every generation of Christ followers has believed they were the ones who were going to run this anchor lap of human history, participating in an unprecedented proclamation of the gospel to the ends of the earth.

What if that’s the way God designed it to be? What if it weren’t in any way presumptuous to live now as if you believed you were part of a generation that would be running this anchor lap of human history? What if in fact it’s actually honoring God to live that way?

If the answer to those questions is, “yes,” then Steve Moore, president of Missio Nexus and author of the book Seize the Vuja De, suggests there’s a need for a new strategic narrative within the North American, Great Commission community that resonates with a rapidly changing global context. At the upcoming Ignite conference, Steve will look at four fundamental global shifts that help frame the plotline for a new narrative within the Christian community.
