Filling Basque Country with Prayer

Since late 2012, a desire and commitment to saturate Basque Country with prayer has been growing among FEC churches and individuals. This intercessory prayer emphasis is becoming known as Operation Saturation – Saturating Basque Country with Prayer.

Operation Saturation is developing into a multi-faceted vision to creatively saturate Basque Country with prayer. It includes:

  • Prayer emphasis among USA churches and individuals
  • Prayer emphasis among leaders, missionaries and other Christ Followers in Spain
  • Short term teams on the ground in Spain interceding for the Basque people
    • The first short term prayer team was the Circle Tour 2013 in June. A team of cyclists and prayer walkers circled the Basque Country, connecting the seven Basque province capital cities and towns between with on the ground intercession. Circle Tour 2014 is June 9-20.
    • Prayer walk teams are continuing to saturate Basque Country with prayer by covering the corridors between the hub San Sebastian and the Basque province Capital Cities.

Operation Saturation April 2014 is designed to prayer walk towns and cities of the San Sebastian -Vitoria Gastéiz corridor.

 Operation Saturation 2014 Purposes:

  •  To intercede for the Basque people
  • To cover one of the corridors of the Operation Saturation prayer vision
  • To participate in International Day of Prayer for the Basque event
  • To provide FEC people and others with an opportunity to:
    • hear from God
    • understand the spiritual darkness of Basque
    • intercede for the Basque
    • understand and embrace the vision to establish a reproducing church movement
    • hear of ministry potential
    • meet other workers & national believers
  • To provide opportunity to deepen existing relationships with Basque teens & families 

Itinerary:

Thursday, April 10th  – Depart US

Friday, April 11th – Arrive San Sebastian – Settle in Colegio Mayor Olarian 

Saturday, April 12th – Orientation, International Day of Prayer event

Sunday, April 13th – Amara Church – lunch – Meet church leaders, Basque ministry people

Monday–Thursday, April 14-17th – Prayer walk corridor towns – Vitoria Gastéiz overnight

Friday, April 18th – Prayer walk San Sebastian – evening meal & debrief together

Saturday, April 19th – Depart for US*
