A Message from Eric Baldwin – Pastor of River City Church in Pittsburgh
Last Sunday night was one of the biggest nights on this journey of church planting. We don’t yet have the amount of people on board necessary to launch the church but we also want to move forward. All of the prayers, gifts, and plans from outside of Pittsburgh and from our launch team came together for the very first preview service for River City Church. We were hoping for at least 20 adults to come and we set up 40 chairs in the “sanctuary.” A small group from a local church was running the children’s ministry, River City Kids, so that everyone on our team could be together for worship. We were so surprised as the room filled up with people…some of whom we have never met before. We are praising God that there were 36 adults and 13 kids in attendance.
Since that day we have been trying to follow up with everyone we can. We want to see more people make a commitment to Christ and to be involved in a gospel-centered church. Pray that we have more new people at our next preview service on November 2.
