Q: What Do a Former Altar Boy, a Farming Family, and a Catholic Parish Have in Common?

A: LiFE Church of Lorain County, Of Course!

When LiFE Church learned they would need to vacate their meeting space this year, pastor Jeff Ahlgrim wasn’t sure how or when God would provide a new place for worship. Little did he know that the answer lay just a few miles down the road, in a small community where his grandparents used to farm. “First, we knew that God was calling us to Grafton,” he says, “and then he provided the space.”

That space turned out to be a Catholic parish that was selling its buildings after merging with another parish. “One of the founding members of our church used to serve as an altar boy there,” says Jeff, “so when we met with the parish’s subcommittee to discuss the purchase, it felt more like a family reunion than a business meeting!” Even better, in such a small community, media relations aren’t necessary; everyone already knows who LiFE church is and why they’re moving in. Look for more updates about how God will use their new location in the coming months!
