Convention slated for August 3 – 5, 2017

It’s time to mark your calendars for this year’s FEC convention. Slated for August 3 – 5 at Grace Church in Morton, Illinois, this year’s convention theme, “Freedom,” offers something for everyone. Our main speaker, Nick Stumbo, is the executive director of Pure Desire Ministries, an organization that seeks to minister to people who struggle with sexual addiction. Nick is passionate about seeing men and women receive reconciliation and healing from habits that burden and enslave. Prior to joining Pure Desire, Nick was the Lead Pastor at East Hills Alliance Church in Kelso, Washington. Nick is the author of Setting Us Free, an additional resource for those desiring freedom from addiction.

Also featured at this year’s convention is Jean Johnson, executive director of World Mission Associates. Jean spent 16 years as a career missionary in Cambodia, focusing on pioneer church planting, on-the-job leadership training, and oral strategies. She is the author of We Are Not The Hero: A Missionary’s Guide to Sharing Christ, Not a Culture of Dependency. Jean will be speaking about the importance of letting the Gospel be the primary focus and agent of life-change while fighting the tendency and temptation to spread American dependency and culture to the people we serve. Please stay tune for more details, including how to register for this year’s convention, at fecministries.org.
