River City Church gains momentum toward launch
When Eric and Leah Baldwin arrived in Pittsburgh to launch River City Church a little over a year ago, they came with few financial resources and even fewer personal connections. Since that time, God has provided for their ministry in three amazing ways:
1) Raising $25,000 for start-up expenses
2) Recruiting 20 people to join the launch team
3) Securing a venue for team meetings and preview services.
“We have experienced first-hand the truth that where God guides, he provides,” says Eric. If that weren’t enough, they also kicked off a preschool ministry this past September, opening the doors to share the love of Christ in positive, non-threatening ways with families who are non-churched and non-Christian. All that remains is finding 20 more people to commit to River City Church in order to have the personnel and momentum needed for a public launch.
