In December, the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches celebrated an incredible milestone by paying off the mortgage for its office building in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This being their only debt, FEC began January 1, 2025, completely debt-free. Many individuals worked diligently and generously to bring about this blessing, says FEC President Rocky Rocholl. “God has just blessed us so amazingly.”

Over the last three years, Chris Eder has guided us through a process of creating a development ministry that has engaged Gospel Patrons in the mission and vision of FEC. His work, along with Ron Habegger, Al Rupp, and Cal Rychener, has not only allowed us to erase our indebtedness but has led us to establish a comprehensive approach that will help continue to support our shared ministry efforts in the future.

“It is so freeing,” Rocky says. “Literally every dollar that comes in, we can now invest directly into ministry.” Knowing he is in his final term as president, which ends in December of 2026, Rocky praises God for delivering this blessing for which he had been praying. “It took many hands. I am just grateful to call FEC my family and to see them respond the way they did.”

Some of the specific ways FEC will reallocate these funds toward ministry are in church planting, soul care, and new initiatives. These added resources will enable FEC to bless new church plants with gifts, support ongoing efforts, and build up and train new planters.

Soul care brings together ministry leaders and their spouses through retreats and gatherings each year. “If we don’t have healthy leaders, we don’t have healthy churches,” says Rocky. These gatherings give pastors and leaders a chance to connect, pray, learn from one another, and provide support.

FEC’s new financial freedom allows for greater support of initiatives around the globe!
