In November, seven leaders from FEC churches traveled to Amman, Jordan to explore what a future partnership might look like with Grace and Truth Ministries. The team spent a little over a week at the FEC-affiliated church conducting a “vision trip,” which is an intentional first step ministries take as they consider partnering with other global ministries.

Tiffany Gardner, the Send Director at Pine Hills Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, saw firsthand how God is working in Jordan. “You see the fruit of the deep relationships they have,” Tiffany says. “You see the doors God has opened.”

Various ministries take place each week at Grace and Truth, such as a store that sells goods made by refugees, as well as a school. The woman who founded the school at Grace and Truth regularly visits a local Muslim school and reads from the Bible to students (and teachers) about the good news of Jesus Christ.

Leaders who attended this recent visit went door to door with a group from Grace and Truth to visit refugees in their homes, bring them food, and hear their stories. Families from Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Iran, and elsewhere enter Amman, Jordan, for safety and refuge, but some are not allowed to work due to legal restrictions. Therefore, Grace and Truth’s hands-on ministry of providing basic groceries makes a significant impact. “What excites me is the traction they’re seeing,” Tiffany says.

Pastor Noor, who leads Grace and Truth, welcomes anyone from FEC to join in prayer for the ministry happening in Amman, Jordan.
