“90% of pastors in America today don’t bring home a paycheck big enough to meet their family’s financial needs,” according to Lilly Endowment research. The organization’s research also found that pastors across America face financial challenges like retirement savings, student loans, and medical bills with no apparent solution. That kind of problem has been at the forefront of Brian Kluth’s work for nearly forty years. Brian works as the National Director for Financial Health Solutions for Pastors and Churches within the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE). His fancy title belies the humble man who believes that God will provide for all of his needs. Through a Lilly Endowment grant and the NAE, he heads a project aimed at addressing the economic challenges that pastors face.

This year, Brian Kluth will bring his experience and unshakable faith to FEC pastors and leaders when he kicks off the 2018 Annual Conference, Thursday, August 2, at 1:00 p.m. During his years as a pastor and the founder of several ministries, Brian developed simple principles for establishing financial freedom and training that has been used worldwide to encourage generosity in any church of any size.

His focus at the annual conference will be encouraging pastors to move from frustration about finances to faith in God, who is able to meet every need. His challenging message, “10 ways that God provides when the paycheck isn’t big enough,” stems from years of trusting that God will provide. Kluth emphasizes, “If we operate in faith, we’ll experience fantastic adventures in trusting Him.” He practiced this truth during his wife’s battle with cancer, and they watched God provide for their needs and medical bills, but it wasn’t through his paycheck.

In another session, Brian will teach church leaders “5 ways to grow joyful givers in any church.” He believes that every church can develop joyful givers no matter its size or location. Brian takes that message, based on best practices, all over the world. For FEC leaders, simply come to Fort Wayne, August 2-4, to hear Brian Kluth’s insight about financial health.
