The Arab population in Toledo, Ohio is growing. This excites Tiffany P., the recently appointed Women’s Director at Hayat Jadida, an FEC church in Toledo led by Arab Christians proclaiming the truth of Jesus Christ. The name Hayat Jadida means “new life” in Arabic. Tiffany will join the church in building relationships within the community and sharing how they can have new life in Christ.

Tiffany knew she was called to serve the Arab people years before taking on this new role in November. She began learning Arabic and started attending Fishers Arabic Church near Indianapolis. From the beginning, she felt incredibly welcomed and accepted by the church body. Hal Lehman, FEC’s Cross-Cultural Church Multiplication Director, spoke at Fishers Arabic about initiatives for the gospel in places like Jordan and among the Arab people in Toledo. He challenged Tiffany to pray and connected her with Hayat Jadida, where she was later offered her new position.

As Women’s Director, her mission, along with Hayat Jadida’s, centers around building relationships in the Arab community in Toledo. “God has a welcoming heart,” Tiffany says. “That should be our heart as well.” She brings a passion for event planning that will enable her to coordinate quarterly events within the community, like a New Year’s Eve gathering, barbecues, and anything that will bring people together.

Tiffany has seen God’s faithfulness throughout this transition like funding coming through quickly and finding a suitable home for hosting ministry events and Bible studies. She looks forward to welcoming Arab women from Hayat Jadida and the community for fellowship with hot cocoa and crafts, and for God’s love to be a presence for everyone.

The work God is doing at Hayat Jadida reminds Tiffany of God’s dream in Revelation 7:9, how there will be one people from every nation and tongue standing before the throne of God. “We get to be a part of making that dream happen,” Tiffany says. “I can’t think of a more exciting way to spend your life.”
