THRIVE serves as the starting point of FEC’s soul care provision for its pastors and ministry leaders.

Because FEC is committed to the long-term spiritual health of its leaders, every church staff person in the FEC family is both invited and urged to take part in this provision, free of charge to the individual.

  • Set of four retreats (twice-per-year, spanning 18 months) and corresponding elements designed specifically for spiritual leaders.

  • Cohort-based group that walks together through guided times of connection and intentional growth in focused areas of a leader’s spiritual formation.

Why Thrive…

Facilitated by FEC’s soul care team, THRIVE participants are led through a spiritual formation track tailored for those in ministry roles, developing an intentional pursuit of personal vibrancy and the fullness of joy and strength in spirit, soul, and body:

  • The twice-per-year retreats are held in spring and fall—spanning 18 months—at beautiful Miracle Camp in Lawton, Michigan.
  • All meals, materials, and lodging are included. Participants are given private, individual rooms.
  • The cohort is guided through 2½ days designed uniquely for spiritual leaders. Each retreat focuses on two of eight dimensions of the pastoral leader’s soul health: spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, relational, familial, technological and missional.
  • An emphasis is placed on addressing the unique challenges and pressures vocational ministry people face as they endeavor to serve God from a full and healthy soul.
  • Sessions include instruction times, interactive elements, and guided exercises to connect personally with God in authentic and soul-refreshing ways.
  • Retreats include built-in times for rest, personal time, and unhurried reflection.
  • Between retreats, the group continues connections in smaller clusters for ongoing support, encouragement, accountability, and friendship.

Womens Thrive Cohort Header

A special, stand-alone THRIVE event for female credentialed ministry leaders and pastor’s wives is being planned for 2025/26. We will travel together to attend a top-shelf women’s leadership conference, with separate gathering, processing, and relationship-building times built in for our FEC contingent.
