The Way Church in Deshler, Ohio is witnessing God’s miracles through a ministry connection in Pakistan. For almost two years, The Way has partnered with Smith Media Group, an organization that helps churches broadcast services online to reach nations for Christ. Since then, more than 2,000 people have accepted Jesus as their Savior and received Bibles in remote villages throughout Pakistan.
A couple times a month, the lead pastor of The Way Church, Justin Deuel, connects with Smith Media Group by conducting a Zoom-type video proclaiming the Gospel. It is then broadcast around the world via King Television Next Generation to a viewership of nearly a million people.
Pastor Justin also conducts video calls with Pakistanis in remote villages. These are often projected on a large sheet as the community listens to the translation of him preaching, praying for their sick, and providing an altar call.
Continuous reports of miraculous healings and salvation testimonies come to Justin and fill him with encouragement. For example, one month, 94 people were saved and 66 reported a miracle happening in their life. One family received prayer over their child who was mute since birth. The child was healed and her parents heard her cry for the first time.
Justin is humbled by God’s sovereign work in this ministry. “When we get these reports, it’s a beautiful testament.” Before his passing in October, Justin’s father would sit in the church and pray for Justin as he preached to these remote villages. He sensed the Lord was well pleased and would continue to open more opportunities. Many in the church are also devoted to praying for this ministry and donating funds to provide Bibles in the Pakistani languages.
“All glory goes to God who makes it possible,” says Justin. “It’s fun to see what the Lord is doing.”
