FEC Global Footprint Personnel must consider many things when moving overseas. Those of us who have never served overseas may never have thought about how many changes and challenges – big and small – must be encountered by global footprint personnel who are preparing to head out into their international-mission field.

One of the most basic decisions that must be made is which city, within the country/region they will be serving, they should live in. When deciding where to move, global footprint personnel must consider several factors, including:

  • Connections they may already have in an area
  • Proximity to language-learning opportunities
  • The level of openness in a community to work with English-speaking, American families
  • Spiritual climate of the town
  • Size of the town
  • Location of the town to public transportation and proximity to their mission-team
  • Location of the town in relation to other churches
  • And the list goes on…

The process of whittling down their options to a single town can be stressful and complicated, but God is good through it all. Please pray for our FEC Global Footprint Personnel who are currently in the process of seeking God’s will in deciding where to live overseas.
