It’s been a busy year for Christ the King Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. They’ve hit record attendance in both combined-campus morning worship service numbers (560) and membership classes (70). They’ve successfully plugged in 70% of regular attenders to one of 26 weekly small group meetings across the city. And they’re reaching out to the community in new ways—recording a worship album, sponsoring neighborhood coat drives, and, in partnership with a local medical clinic, hosting a monthly health fair.

They even received a free church building for the Eastern Hills campus last August, providing a long-awaited answer to prayer for a permanent space and creating easier access to their location from other parts of the city. The new location has also helped them achieve a 40% growth rate and diversified the age of the congregation in the last six months as well. Dustin Nimmo, Eastern Hills campus pastor, explains. “A handful of people from the original congregation have made our church their home. As a result, more people in their 50s and 60s feel comfortable in coming. It’s worked out really well.”

All these changes mean greater opportunities for ministry, touching more lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ than ever before. Even better, Christ the King has no plans to slow down any time soon. With continued leadership training, coupled with the potential for planting a third campus somewhere on the horizon, the leadership team is confident that—for Christ the King Church—the best is yet to come!
