FEC is pleased to announce the successful arrival of Courtney M. to Basque country—so successful, in fact, that she has received multiple invitations to dine with her friends at their parents’ homes. Would you believe she only had to cook three meals during the first week of her arrival? And while we anticipated an effective outreach to young, single people for Courtney, she might just gain approval with and build a ministry to families as well. In addition, we eagerly anticipate a safe departure for another family just as soon as they receive their visas, hopefully by early September.

These “boots on the ground,” so to speak, mean that we are increasing opportunities for intentional relationships with Basque people, since the team now represents a wide range of ages, personalities, and giftings and will be living in four separate towns in the region. In the words of Hal Lehman, international church multiplication director, “God is using FEC to build His kingdom with the Basque people. With the addition of these team members, we are adding more candles to a very spiritually dark place. That’s significant.”

Thank you for making this day possible by catching the vision and supporting this growing FEC team so generously, and please continue to pray for the team’s initial entry into the country, that they will be able to adjust quickly to the culture, learn the language, develop relationships with people of peace, and begin discovery Bible studies soon.
