In January 2023, Bruce Wright became the new president of the Christian Service Foundation (CSF), the organization that serves the FEC by providing financial services to churches and members. Although Bruce is new to his role at CSF, he has been a part of FEC for 30 years as a member and elder at Brookside Church in Fort Wayne. After retiring from his 42-year career in the banking industry, he decided to invest his time and skills in building God’s kingdom through CSF. He said, “When I became aware of this opportunity, I thought this might be a good way to utilize my skills obtained from the secular world for kingdom work. I don’t view it as a career. I view it as a calling.”

Since the primary purpose of CSF is to provide loans to FEC churches, Bruce wants to make sure that churches receive sound counsel. Whether they are a new church plant or an existing church that needs to update their facilities, he wants to make the process of working with CSF more relational than transactional. Bruce said, “If we help a start-up church move from a storefront or YMCA to a freestanding building and someone drives by and sees it, comes to the church, and becomes a believer, we have accomplished our mission.”

Bruce will also work with FEC church members to make them aware of investing opportunities with CSF and scholarships for college students. Learn more about these opportunities at christianservicefoundation.org.
