New summer theme summarizes ministry at LifeChange Camp
“Deployed: Called, Equipped, Sent.” That’s the upcoming summer theme at LifeChange Camp, and it’s a great summary of the range of ministry options available to campers who travel to the camp from across the Midwest. Consider the young woman who came to camp with heavy burdens and left with a new calling as a child of God. Or the young man who felt newly equipped to profess his faith, declaring loudly that “Jesus is Lord!” before his baptism in the brand-new LifeChange pool. Or the young woman who declared around the campfire that God was sending her out as a missionary. “We love to hear these testimonies and see the excitement in their eyes,” say Bill and Carol Anderson, co-founders of the FEC-affiliated camp in Clinton, Missouri.
Of course, summer campers aren’t the only ones to find new hope in Jesus. “We’re always seeking people who want to support the ministry through work camps, prayers, and gifts,” says Bill.
