“This is the starting gate, not the finish line.” These are the words of Nirup Alphonse, pastor of LifeGate Church in Denver, Colorado, speaking to his team at the official church launch on February 8, 2015. By all accounts, the day was a huge success, with 175 people in attendance and 5 giving their lives to Christ. “We were completely in awe of what God did,” says Nirup. But the church wants more. “For us,” Nirup continues, “it’s constantly about asking God to do more. We want God to make us the kind of people who can lead a church twice this size.” Through a two-part strategy of building great leaders and creating successful systems, LifeGate Church is well on its way to meeting the goal of expanding, growing, and multiplying for the kingdom.
