At the 2022 FEC conference in Denver last summer, church leaders experienced a special moment during worship at LIFEGATE. Pastor Jason Best led the worship team in a multilingual version of the song “Living Hope,” and the expression of seven worship leaders singing in five different languages created a uniting and moving atmosphere. Jason said, “We wanted to invite the FEC leaders into a moment that really represents our worship culture at LIFEGATE and to allow all of us to experience a broader glimpse of heaven.”

Afterward, the worship team decided to record a multilingual version of the song so they could communicate their desire for an interethnic culture at LIFEGATE. The worship leaders represented five languages–Tamil (India), Krio (Sierra Leone), Spanish (Mexico), Igbo (Nigeria), and English. The recorded version also includes six musical instruments representing different countries. Each person who recorded the song in his or her heart language represents different parts of the world, but Emily Flack, Worship Administrator, emphasized that “we also want to represent our core identity as brothers and sisters in Christ.” She added, “we are making space for people in other cultures to have a place here and form our culture.”

The recorded version of “Living Hope (World Version) will be released on streaming platforms at https://lifegatemusic.lnk.to/LivingHope-WorldVersion on March 10.
