Since 2013, Synergy (formerly known as the Kansas Church Multiplication Center) has been creating systems that both support church planters and strengthen FEC’s church multiplication efforts, not just in Kansas but throughout the Fellowship as well. What began as an intensive, three-month church planting residency has morphed into a network of ongoing coaching and camaraderie for those serving on the front lines. It’s all part of FEC’s efforts to develop talent within the Fellowship, preparing church planters for current—and future—success.

Take Alex Ruhter, for instance, who received training in Kansas and is currently planting Wave Community Church in Deshler, Ohio, with the help of Ohio’s Tri-State Co-op. Or Landon Jordan, who after completing the three-month residency in Kansas, went on to successfully plant New Anthem Church in Park City, Kansas. Each has experienced church-planting success, but many planters still need ongoing training and support as they face the inevitable problems and challenges that arise in the weeks and months following a successful launch. That’s the goal of the Synergy network, creating systems that give church planters a roadmap—not just to win people to Jesus, but to bring those people into a fellowship of believers, build them up in their faith, and send them into ministry themselves. That’s why FEC is combining relevant instruction with real opportunities as it prepares pastors for long-term success. To learn more about Synergy, visit the Synergy page on our website.
