Following their wedding in July, Courtney (Mosier) and her husband Nathanael Warren have made the decision to not be part of the FEC Basque team. They have recently moved to the Basque Country on their own and are working independently in the town of Oñati. While we are sad to lose a team member we wish them the best and hope they are successful in their ministry involvements in the Basque Country.

For several years FEC churches have been hosting Basque students for a month in the summer through American Dream. In recent conversation with FEC, American Dream has decided to decentralize the US side of their program and work directly with churches rather than through the FEC office. Decentralizing the US side enables American Dream to more easily connect with other churches around the country. For any churches interested in hosting students, please stay tuned as to what our FEC team involvements may be in the future.

In all of this, our outlook is long term. It has not been easy, but our team is working hard at testing many ministry outlets in our communities including English teaching in business settings, training of local believers, English teaching in our homes, starting our own business, and student hosting partnerships. We are currently looking into additional hosting options, and are in a period of exploration, testing and evaluation to find options with the greatest potential for long term success in accomplishing the Initiative vision. We are looking for involvements that are natural access points in the Basque culture that can lead to long term relationships and ministry opportunities. So we diligently press forward and continue to be faithful with the opportunities God has given us.

We must all be in prayer daily. God will move in his time and we must be faithful.
