Prayers needed for people power – and the right space – in Pittsburgh

An update from Eric Baldwin, Planter of River City Church in Pittsburgh

River City Church in Pittsburgh needs your prayers. For weeks, they’ve been seeking the right space for their upcoming church launch, slated for the fall of 2014. To date, the best option on the table is renting space from a local elementary school. “We’re encouraged by the welcome we’ve received from the principal and custodial staff,” says Eric Baldwin, River City Church pastor. “Even the school superintendent is supportive.”

While he is thankful for these positive developments, Eric still needs approval from the school system’s legal team and school board before he can sign a lease agreement. Please pray that the school board will hold a special meeting in July, and that they would consider his request at that time. In addition, Eric and his team could use some additional people power. “We’re grateful for the three new people who have recently shown an interest in the launch,” says Eric, “but we still need more people to join our volunteer team if the launch is to be successful.”
