“Every [pastor] needs three types of relationships in his life.  He needs a ‘Paul’ who can mentor him and challenge him.  He needs a ‘Barnabas’ who can come along side and encourage him.  And he needs a ‘Timothy,’ someone that he can pour his life into.”
— Howard G. Hendricks

Most pastors have plenty of ‘Timothys.’  Some have a ‘Barnabas’ or two.  Few have a ‘Paul.’  They lead almost every meeting they’re in; they’re considered the ‘Paul’ by most people in their church.  They don’t have the time to seek out a ministry mentor, and don’t know who they would approach if they did.

FEC has established a resource whereby its lead pastors can be paired with an experienced, older, sometimes retired veteran of ministry for the purpose of giving them a ‘Paul’ who can provide counsel, encouragement, and both professional and personal mentoring.

The relationship can be tailored to your schedule and lifestyle, as much or as little as you like.  Once you establish your mentoring connection, you can shape and form it as best serves you.
