Resources & Guidance for Providing Meaningful Sabbatical Times

FEC is committed to enhancing the personal and spiritual vitality of its pastors. We believe healthy churches and ministries don’t just happen; they emerge from healthy leaders who consistently engage in intentional, health-sustaining practices. The pastor’s personal spiritual formation and holistic health are the centerpiece of effective church leadership.

As part of that pursuit, FEC strongly endorses reinforcing the practice of offering occasional Sabbaticals—purposeful and sustained time away from the daily grind of pastoral ministry—for its credentialed pastors.

The links below connect to a variety of resources for churches and pastors seeking guidance for exploring and optimizing a Sabbatical opportunity. In addition, the FEC ministry staff is available for consultation and conversation to guide its churches and credentialed leaders toward positive Sabbatical provisions. Please email the FEC office or call 260.423.3649 for further information or assistance.
